This is my interpretation of The Little Mermaid — focusing less on the story’s drama, and more on the feeling of being in between two worlds.
A quiet moment, sitting still, not quite where you belong yet.
The composition is intentionally minimal, with soft tones and space to let the viewer slow down and fill in the rest.

I’ve always liked this story for what it doesn’t say out loud — that feeling of being between two places and not fully belonging to either.
This piece came from trying to capture that moment, not the ending.
